Valentines was a great weekend of reflection for me; the people I've met, the places I've been and my family that has supported me through it all. It was everything colourful and surprising and I do hope the love that I know and I feel now will continue to shine through my journey in life. We met two couples in the hills of Valparaiso and that fitted in nicely and reminded me of the friendships I've made and what they have given me in life. Firstly, I met " Little Chef"- she's this amazing pregnant Chinese girl and she has so much self-determination. I think of her and I have an instant pick- me- up- moment. She has also cultivated my love for cooking ever so much! I attend her cooking classes once a week.
Then after a great lunch at "La Concepcion",
we met Karol and Juan Pablo.
They are now expecting their second child, though not planned. She reminded me that life is indeed not presented on a silver platter at all times but it could be wonderfully surprising.
As I set at the balcony on Valentines, I couldn't help but feel content; with the flowers I received last week, the little candlelight cocktail that he prepared for me on an impulse and the little getaway the weekend past. Mostly, I'm thankful that he gives me enough love - the kind that I'll never have to hunger for on Valentines, but rather a day I can spend reflecting on the colours in my life.
