Soul of India

The Undas' ventured out last Friday in search of some authentic, okay to be honest,  after the searching and looking up of the yellow pages and Internet , we were ready to settle for - good Indian food . In comparison to Malaysia, which has a huge denomination of Indian people, the list in Chile is not long.  To cut the whole night short and get right into the review-  we ended up very satisfied and mostly impressed.

Murgh Tikka & Indian Pisco Sour
The restaurant's called the Soul of India. We firstly got ourselves an entree as we are both huge fans of starting off any meal with good entrees.  Normally we over indulge at this point of dinner as we're mostly too excited, too hungry, too tempted you name it . Don't you all love entrees though?  They really set the mood and we get to indulge right away and story-tell each other's week away rather than just waiting for the main course. We ordered the Murgh Tikka.  At this point the waiter suggested an Indian version of the all famous Pisco Sour for the aperitif
- it turned out to be really refreshing & great with the dash of ginger !

Dinner of Rogan Josh & Palek Paneer
About dinner,  we tried to keep dinner really simple with two  familiar main dishes - the Rogan Josh and the Palak Paneer.  As usual Luis ordered the Cheese Naan and myself the Garlic Naan.  At this point,  I was just plain greedy, when the waiter suggested rice -  I quickly said, " The basmati rice please !" ( turned out to be a bad idea of course) but again that didn't stop Luis from tempting me or rather us with the superb Gulab Jamun
( he's too much of a gentlemen, he still pulls out chairs, open doors and  plan dinner dates and surprises me with flowers ) -not complaining . Just bragging?-  yes , I agree :P

So keeping up with our almost once-a-week North Indian indulgences which we used to have in Malaysia - Chile is doing it for me too.  I'll definitely recommend this restaurant at Av. Vitacura 4555.  They even do take-aways for those sexy stay-ins !  You'll get the whole deal -  the chefs & owners are from India plus you get a splash of India with the Indian music & the colourful Indian decor  !

Gorgeous Luis pretty satisfied

Myself - couldn't ask for more mode -l.i.t.e.r.a.l.l.y !
