Happy Simple Times

Last Thursday I felt as excited as when I received my first pay check . I remember staring at my account on the computer screen until it logged off, called my mum and chatted away hysterically about that pay check and then couldn't sleep at night from all the self inflicted delirium. This time though, it was because Luis got paid !!  This meant I was getting some juice too :). People, all I'm gonna say it that,
 Luis has the biggest heart.

I never forget our times though, I met him at varsity - we started from nothing much money-wise,
 but we studied hard
( well Luis partied hard too he never really needed to study much - he always found exams exhilarating!). I remember many things - shopping for budget food, carrying plastics of groceries back home, carrying home boxes of second hand books to read, walking everywhere
  but we always had treats,
ours used to be take-away fish and chips that came in neatly cut newspaper,
" 2 dollar chips please," we used to say to the Chinese lady in Dunedin
but we were always so content
I find myself thanking God constiously now, I thank God for everything everyday.

We go through different phases in our life, but it's important to stick to your gut; to hear those tiny voices, the good and the bad and to be honest with yourself, to know what's important for you, to have depth in all corners of your thought system and to have an open-mind.  It has found me continents away from everything I knew, but I'm content -  it's a life I couldn't live without and a life I wouldn't change.
So Pray, pray everyday and listen.

" They may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven!" Mark 4:12 ( The Parable of the Sower)

On a different note, this is me spending money before the pay check came in! <tsk tsk Marsha>
( I got the green light though, and it's for a good cause people )
