Coffee and its Encounters

I got a call today from a beautiful person, Tia (Auntie) Rosario@ Tia Charo. I met this gorgeous lady when my mother-in-law came to visit us in Malaysia. We got to know each other very well as she stayed with us for one and a half months and we even traveled China and India together.  She's a real sunshine, someone who has an aura  - always positive, always kind. So this morning,  I was overjoyed when she called to have a coffee with me.  Moreover, it was a glorious day in Santiago (22 degrees) and...talk about coincidence-we were both thinking of having a look at swimmers as my sister-in-law Carola,  is taking me tomorrow for some serious swimming.  I'm really in need of one as mine are all bikinis and as you all know,  not very functional.  Anyways, Tia Charo needed one too just because summer was coming up. She lives in Concepcion  ( the second biggest city after Santiago around 5 hours away by train).
So, she was really keen to have a good look,  so we found ourselves looking for the same thing. It was real superb for me for she's Chilean and really knew the brands to go for, so we had a great time!
- funny, she's almost in her 60's but friendship always gives us much more than we can imagine.
Then an hour or so passes and we go and get the coffee as planned and there we are chatting and munching away on our sandwiches and guess who's stopping for a cuppa too? Luis Unda !  no.... not my husband Luis Unda but his dad Luis Unda.  Did you'll know that? It's a family tradition here that's dying,
but not anywhere near the Unda family
 -  I hereby declare to you all that my son will be Luis Unda the fifth
( thank God that I think L.U.I.S is a hot name, then again I could be conditioned to it all ).
Anyways, Tia Charo and Tio (uncle) go back a long way -  around 38 years !  So, our little coffee meet-up turned into a beautiful lunch.  Tio had the Caesar's salad and Tia and I had the light salad.
Ah, the beauty of going out and having a cuppa !
Never underestimate the power of a nice cup of coffee.

Re-united !!
